Water baptism is a work of God's Grace. Water Baptism is a believer's Identification with Chrit and His Death, Burual, and Resurrection. It signifies that our former way of living life apart from God has been washed away and we are now a New Creation designed to do good works that God has prepared for us. have committed to walk as a new creation in Christ. Baptism is for the individual who has personally placed their faith in Christ and has received the saving benefits of Christ’s atoning work on the cross. In obedience to Christ’s command and as a testimony to God, the church, oneself and the world, a believer should be baptized in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

The Bridgton Alliance Church teaches and practices “believer’s baptism" by immersion which is most symbolic of the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord.

Before your baptism, Pastor Mike and the other leaders of the church would like to meet with you to answer your questions and discuss the biblical significance of baptism. We will also cover several frequently asked questions, all logistical details of a baptism service and take the opportunity to talk with you about your journey that has brought you to this place in life.
